Question 946564: Hi how are u doing? this is my math problem [there`s a target and it has 5,10 and 25]the 5-and 10-point bands are each 2 inches wide,and the inner circle has a diameter of 2 inches. to the nearest inch,what is the outer circumference of the 10-point band? so far i know theirs to 2 inches across the the target so thats 4 in each side and it =8.I don`t know what other step to do to solve this problem. Looking at a target, we should expect the bands to be less point-value as moving outward from the central two-inch diameter circle. This makes the 10-point band, the middle band. The inner circle extends 1 inch from the center point. The 25-point band adds 2 inches to the radius; and the 10-point band adds another 2 inches to the radius. The distance that the 10-point band extends from the center of the circle is therefore 1%2B2%2B2=5 inches.

Your question means, find the circumference of this 5 inch radius.

or to the nearest inch,
31 inches.
