You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y=mx+b
b=y-mx
b=3-m(-2)
-
y=mx%2B3%2B2m
y-intercept is (0,3+2m).

Find x-intercept:
mx%2B3%2B2m=0
mx=-3-2m
x=-3%2Fm-2
x-intercept is ( -3/m-2, 0 ).

Use the Distance Formula for the distance between those two points, and equate the expression to the expected 5sqrt%282%29.

sqrt%28%28-3%2Fm-2-0%29%5E2%2B%280-%283%2B2m%29%29%5E2%29=5sqrt%282%29

Work through the arithmetic with that to solve for m; and then you can put the equation for the line together.
