This module discusses the basic geometric ideas: points, lines, angles, and perimeter. A point can be imagined as an infinitely small dot, a line resembles a tough string that is being stretched. An angle is a measure of "dullness" of an angle (think of a cutting edge of scissors). A perimeter is the length of the border of the figure. If you need to buy chain link fencing material for your yard, you need to know its perimeter.
