Question 836655: A line passes through the two points (4,1) and (-2,5). Find the perimeter of the triangle bounded by this line and the coordinate axes.
I have no idea how to do this problem. I found that the hypotenuse of the triangle is sqrt52 but I don't know what else to do. Please help!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
"I found that the hypotenuse of the triangle is sqrt52"

Not quite. The triangle is formed by extending the line to intersect the two coordinate axes. Find the equation of the line, then find the x- and y-intercept. Then you can find the hypotenuse, and the perimeter.
