Hi, there--

THE PROBLEM:
ind the midpoint of the segment from Point A (2, -3) to Point B (-1, 9).

A SOLUTION:
The midpoint formula is
x%5Bm%5D=%28x%5BA%5D%2Bx%5BB%5D%29%2F2
x%5Bm%5D=%282+%2B+%28-1%29%29%2F2=0.5

and

y%5Bm%5D=%28y%5BA%5D%2By%5BB%5D%29%2F2
y%5Bm%5D=%28-3+%2B+9%29%2F2=3

The midpoint of your segment is (0.5,3)

Hope this helps! Feel free to email if you have any questions about the solution.

Good luck with your math,
