Question 810908: A circle is inscribed in the square. If the area of the circle is 16π square centimeters, find the length of one of the diagonals of the square.
A=pi x r squared divided by 2
I got 25.12 which was incorrect. What am I doing wrong? Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! a=pi*r^2
why divided by 2??
r=4
2r=diameter and one side of square
diameter =8
one side = 8
2*8^2=128
sqrt(128)=diagonal
11.3 is the diagonal
