Question 800482: Please help me!! I do not understand how to do this question!

The equation of he circle is x^2 + y^2 = 6*x + 8*y -24 = 0. Find the equation of the diameter of the circle which passes through the point (-1,1).

Please help me!! I do not understand this question, how do I do it?!
Thank you!

You can put this solution on YOUR website! I am not too sure if you have typed correctly

 x^2 + y^2 + 6*x + 8*y -24 = 0

x^2-6x +y^2+8y -24=0

x^2-6x+9 +y^2+8y+16=24+9+16

(x+3)^2+(y+4)^2=49

center =(3,-4)

The other point is (-1,1)

Find the equation of line passing through (-1,1) and (3,-4)

(y-1)/(1+4) =(x-(-1))/(-1-3)

(y-1)/5 =(x+1)/-4

-4(y-1)=5(x+1)
-4y+4=5x+5
5x+4y+1=0
