Not to shabby! basically two triangles on top of eachother
In the diagram, AF= GE, CD= CB, CH=HI=ID,CE= (1)/(2)AE,AB=CB=12,DG=8, and CE=6
find the lengths of all segments in the diagram.
DG= 8
GE=?
DE=?
CE=6
AC=6
AE=12
DI=4
DH=8
BC=12
DB=24
IH=4
IC=8
IB=20
HC=4
AB=12
BC=12
AF=?
AB=12
BF=?
I am so sorry how confsing this is, I wish i could show you a picture of it. My math teacher is booked for tutoring and the NHS tutoring doesn't start till next week. I really need help! thank yo in advance! xella

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

They have to be congruent triangles because we are given that CD = CB and that CE is half of AE so AC has to equal CE and we know that vertical angles are equal. Hence the triangles are congruent by SAS.

So, now that we know they are congruent, we know that AB must equal DE. Since we know that AB is 12 (given), DE must also be 12. But if DG is 8, GE must then be 4. That means that AF is 4 and FB must be 8.

Since CB is 12, CD must also be 12, then Since CH, HI, ID are all equal, 1/3 of 12 is 4 and each of CH, HI, ID is 4.

I think I got all of the ones you are missing. All the ones you have filled in already are correct.
