Question 702465: Please help me with this problem! The length of a picture frame is twice as long as its width. If the total perimeter equals 72 inches, what is its length and width?
Choose an equation to answer the problem/
a. 2W + W = 72
b. 6W = 72
c.2(2W + W)= 72

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
P = 2L + 2W

P = 2(2W) + 2W

P = 2(2W + W)

72 = 2(2W + W)

2(2W + W) = 72

So I'm using C

2(2W + W) = 72

2W + W = 72/2

2W + W = 36

3W = 36

W = 36/3

W = 12

L = 2W

L = 2*12

L = 24
