You can put this solution on YOUR website! Need help! Studying for my final exam and unable to comprehend the following from quiz given.
1. Give the center of the circle with equation x2+2x+y2-10y+22=0.
(X+1)^2-1^2+(Y-5)^2-5^2+22=0
HENCE THE CENTER OF CIRCLE IS (-1,5)
2. Find an equation for the line with slope 1/2 and y-intercept 3.
Y=(1/2)X+3=0.5X+3
3. Find the slope of the line through the points A(-1, 6) and B(5, 2).
SLOPE=(2-6)/(5+1)=-4/6=-2/3
4. Find an equation for the line with y-intercept 3that is perpendicular to the line y=2/3 x-4.
SLOPE OF PERPENDICULAR LINE =-3/2.........HENCE EQN.OF LINE IS
Y=(-3/2)X+3=-1.5X+3
5. If f(x)=x2+5, find f(a+h)-f(a).
F(A+H)=(A+H)^2+5
F(A)=A^2+5
F(A+H)-F(A)=(A+H)^2-A^2=H^2+2AH
