Question 629813: The diagram shows a framework for a target, consisting of 2 circles of wire and 6 straight pieces of wire. The radius of the outer circle is 30 cm and the radius of the inner circle is 15 cm.
Calculate the total length of wire needed for the whole framework. Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source):
I presume the 6 straight pieces go from the center to the large circle, so each is the measure of the radius of the large circle. Start with 6 times 30, then add the circumference of a 30 cm radius circle and then add the circumference of a 15 cm radius circle.
