Question 610652: hi guys can you guys tell me if i am wrong or right, and if i am wrong what is the right answer.
if sin x = 12/13 and x is an angle in quadrant 2 find the value of tan x.
i have tan x = 0.0161 Answer by josmiceli(19441) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! In quadrant 2 the tan is negative because you have
(+) / (-) = (-)
The sin is y component over the radius
You need to find the length of the x-component
Hope this isn't confusing- I used for 2 different things:
the needed angle and also the x-axis length. Sorry
