Question 593992: This is the question that I am having difficulty with.
Write the standard form of the equation from the line that passes through points (-6,-8) and (-4,-11).
I have found the slope = -3/2 and I can get through the next step in slope intercept form y=-3/2x -17 but then I get stuck. HELP!!!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Write the standard form of the equation from the line that passes through points (-6,-8) and (-4,-11).
I have found the slope = -3/2
-----------
Use y = mx + b and either point to find b, the y-intercept
---
-8 = (-3/2)*(-6) + b
b = -17
----
The eqn is y = (-3/2)x - 17
3x + 2y = -34 in standard form
