Question 57321: pi r squared
I have a circle that is 25 meters in diameter. I need to find the circumference. somehow, I know that there is a formula for finding the radius/circumference by using pi but do not know exactly how and cannot find the right info in my text. If you can help, I need this by noon tomorrow 10/21 EDT. Thanks

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I have a circle that is 25 meters in diameter. I need to find the circumference
------------------
Circumference = (pi)(diameter)
C=(pi)(25)
C=78.54 meters

25 meters in diameter. I need to find the circumference
The formula for the circumference of a circle is: highlight%28C=d%2Api%29, where C=circumference, d=diameter, and pi=3.14 (this is an approximation, pi is actually a never ending decimal, my calculator takes it out to 3.141592654. However, if you are just starting out, 3.14 is all that your teacher expects.)
Your d=25m, therefore your circumference is:
C=25m%2Api
C=25m%2A3.14
highlight%28C=78.5m%29
Happy Calculating!!!
