Question 474430: This is under equations of lines - Hi I'm a mom trying really hard to help her child with her homework, and we are both stuck, I'm hoping that you can help. This is what we've gotten so far: question: The line contains the longer diagonal of a quadrilateral whose vertices are: A(2,2), B(-2,-2),C(1,-1) & D(6,4) we think the answer is BD, but it probably isn't, if you could please show us how you get the answer so that we can understand it, it would be greatly appreciated. I really want her to understand, because I know that math builds on the things you already know, I'm disabled and can't afford to pay for her to get help on these answers, but if we don't get help soon, she will be held back for another year, and she doesn't want that to happen because she is so close to finishing. Thanks again

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The longer diagonal would be between (-2,2) and (6,4)
Based on how you labeled the points, that would be the line BD.
Is that all you wanted to know?
Check out the diagram below.
It's a very rough sketch of how your quadrilateral would look if you graphed it.
