anything multiplied by 0 gives you 0.

The result is not really defined because you're taking an infinite (or undefined) number and multiplying it by zero, which does not necessarily result in 0. For example, if we try to evaluate the product



Since and we might be tempted to say the answer is infinity times zero, when the answer is just 1.
