You can put this solution on YOUR website!
equation of a straight line is given as y=mx+c where m is the gradient and c is the y-intercept.

The question states that the gradient is 1/2 and y-intercept is 3, so we get:

y=mx+c
y=(1/2)x + 3 which is an answer. However, usually the equation is quoted in such a way to have no fractions or negatives:

2y = x+6. This is the form that is USUALLY quoted, but the other version i wrote is correct too.
