Question 337329: Find the perimiter of a rectangle with base of x, and height of 3x-8.
What I've Tried:
P= 2(3x-8) +2x
P= 6x-16+ 2x
P= 8x-16
I'm supposed to solve this in terms of x, is there something more that I need to do or is P= 8x-16 the correct perimiter?
Thank you I'm dying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Find the perimiter of a rectangle with base of x, and height of 3x-8.
P= 2(3x-8) +2x
P= 6x-16+ 2x
P= 8x-16
P = 8 (x-2) ans.
x=is the unknown factor. X can be whatever the person wants it to be. 2 feet, inches, 4 cemtimeter etc. so final answer.
