Question 308791: The directions state to write the equations of the following lines and leave the answer in standard form.
The problem states: a line perpendiciular and containing point (-2,-4)
For this problem, I am aware of the fact that if a line is perpendicular to another line, their slopes are opposite recipricols. Although, I am not sure what the slope would be or the final equation. Please help! This is a graded mathe assignment!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

The directions state to write the equations of the following lines and leave the answer in standard form.
The problem states: a line perpendiciular to the line y = 7 and containing point (-2,-4)
-----------
Draw the picture of the line and the point.
-------
y = 7 has a slope of zero and is a horizontal line.
---
You want the equation of a vertical line thru (-2,-4)
That equation would be x = -2
