Question 25526: I don't know if I am in the right section
Please help = my question is:
The circumference of a circle is 132 yards. Find the radius using the pie of 22/7
The formula is 132=2 x 22/7x - they want me to do it in 4 steps - the last one is were I put in the x number and it never works. Help Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Circumference of a circle = 2(pi)r
Then 132=2(22/7)r
Divide both sides by "2" to get
66=(22/7)r
Divide both sides by "22" to get:
3=(1/7)r
Multiply both sides by "7" to get:
21=radius in yrds.
