You can put this solution on YOUR website! LET THE SIDE OF THE SQUARE BE =X
WHEN IT IS FOLDED INTO HALF WE GET A RECTANGLE OF SIDE X ON ONE SIDE AND X/2 ON OTHER SIDE.ITS PERIMETER=X+X/2+X+X/2...TAKING LCM 2
(2X+X+2X+X)/2=6X/2=3X..BUT PERIMETER =12...SO
3X=12 CM
X=12/=4 CM.
HENCE AREA OF SQUARE =A*A=4*4=16...CAN YOU PLEASE TELL HOW YOU GOT 48 SO THAT WE CAN CORRECT YOUR WORKING AND TELL WHERE YOU HAVE GONE WRONG.
