Connecting the 4 centers of the circles will form a square 20' on a side.
Each of the circles has 1/4 of its area inside the square. The four quarters of the circles are the same area as one of the circles, = pi*r^2.
The area of the square is 400 sq feet.
The space outside the 1/4 circles is 400 - pi*r^2
= 400 - 100*pi
= ~ 85.84 sq feet
