You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3/4=x/22
4x=3*22
4x=66
x=66/4
x=16.5 ft. tall.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You can also solve by TRIGO FUNCTIONS:
Remember: H%5BT%5D=x unknown; S%5BT%5D=22ft
h%5Bys%5D=3ft; s%5Bys%5D=4ft
Since both forms a right triangle, we can use trigo function SINE = opp%2Fhyp:
sin%28alpha%29+=opp%2Fhyp=h%5Bys%5D%2Fs%5Bys%5D
sin%28alpha%29=3%2F4
alpha=sin%5E-1%280.75%29
alpha=48.59deg -----> the same angle the TREE forms
Therefore,
sin%28alpha%29=H%5BT%5D%2FS%5BT%5D
sin%2848.59%29=H%5BT%5D%2F22
H%5BT%5D=sin%2848.59%29%2822ft%29
H%5BT%5D=16.5ft --------------------------> Height of the Tree
Thank you,
