we suppose that the two line is not parallel, then the two lines will have an intersection point, if it is, we have now a triangle with the 3 line, the sum of the angles of a triangle is 180, it is a contradiction with the two line is perpendicular to the same line because the sum of the two angles of theses lines are 180 the the third angle have 0.
