 A drinking glass is in the shape of a cylinder that is 60mm in diameter and 15cm tall. How many cubic centimeters of water will it hold?

To solve this problem , you will need to find the volume of the glass, and since the glass is in the  shape of a cylinder, you will need to use the formula to find the volume of a cylinder . However , in this situation, you will have to find the radius of the glass by get 60 and divide it by 2 and you get 30. Now all you have to do is plug in the number that the problem provide you:

 = 3.14* 30 * 2 * 15
 = 3.14  * 30 *  30
 = 3.14 * 900
 = 282.6 cubic centimeter
