You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Convert x^2 + y^2 + x + y - 1/2 = 0 to the standard form of the equation of a circle.
x^2 + y^2 + x + y =1/2
Use completing square method for x & y
(x^2+x + (p ) )+(y^2+y+(q ) )= (1/2) + (p) +(q)
Find third term
formula =( (1/2) co efficient of middle term )^2
((1/2)*1)^2= 1/4=p = q
(x^2+x + (1/4 ) )+(y^2+y+(1/4 ) )= (1/2)+ (1/4) +(1/4)
(x+(1/2))^2+(y+(1/2)^2= 1
