Question 1201646: Hello, I would like some help completing this proof. The way my homework is set up is like this: I am given a proof that is partially completed, and I am supposed to fill in the blanks. I will try to write my proof here by typing, but it would be easier to send a picture lol. For blanks that I have not filled in yet, i have written "not filled in". Here is what I have so far:
STATEMENTS:
1. Arc AB is congruent to arc DB
2. Measure of arc AB = measure of arc BC
3. Measure of arc AB + measure of arc BC = measure of arc DC + measure of arc BC
4. Not filled in
5. Measure of arc AC = measure of arc DB
6. Not filled in
7. Therefore: chord AC is congruent to chord DB
REASONS:
1. Given
2. Not filled in
3. Not filled in
4. Arc Addition Postulate
5. Not filled in
6. Definition of congruent arcs
7. If in the same circle, two arcs are congruent, then their chords are congruent
I do have a picture of the problem and the circle that goes with it, I can't figure out a way to send a picture through this website, but maybe I can after I get a response via email. Thank you for your time! Found 2 solutions by mananth, ikleyn:Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source):
