Question 110035: I missed part of geometry class and now I am stumped on my homework. Here is the question:
Tell whether the given lines through the given points are parallel, perpendicular, or neither. (Show all work.)
Line 1: (0,1) (1,4)
Line 2: (3,2) (6,3)
HELP???

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Tell whether the given lines through the given points are parallel, perpendicular, or neither. (Show all work.)
Line 1: (0,1) (1,4)
slope =(4-1)/(1-0) = 3/1 = 3
---------------------------
Line 2: (3,2) (6,3)
slope = (3-2)/(6-3) = 1/3
---------------------------
The slopes are not the same so the lines are not parallel.
--------------
The product of the two slopes is not -1 so the lines are not perpendicular.
-----------------------
The lines are neither parallel nor perpendicular.
