Question 1099416: The tangent to a circle with centre (0,0) passes through the point (11,2) and (-1,8). Find the equation of the circle.
I’ve worked out te equation of the line: I got y=1/2x+15/2 and I do not know where to go from there.
Thanks in advance

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The tangent to a circle with centre (0,0) passes through the points
A(11,2) and B(-1,8). Find the equation of the circle.
-----------
m = 6/-12 = -1/2
y-2 = (-1/2)*(x-11)
Find the line perpendicular, m = +2, and thru (0,0)
The intersection of the 2 lines is the tangent point.
r = the distance from (0,0) to the tangent point.
