 Step 1.  Perimeter P is when you add up all 4 sides of the square.  P=s+s+s+s=4s where s is the side of the square.
 
 Step 2.  Let 10P=360=4s since ten times the perimeter of a square is 360 yards.
 
 Step 3.  Solving 10P=360 means P=36 after dividing 10 to both sides of the equation.
 
 Step 4.  Solving P=36=4s yields s=9 after dividing by 9 to both sides of the equation.
 
 Step 5.  ANSWER:  Each side of a square is 9 yards.
