*[youtube s6NyBXIBXO0] In this video lesson I explain an important property of secants. First of all, secants are lines that intersect circles twice. Now the property: if two secants originate from a common point outside of the circle, then the length of the outer part of the secant times the whole secant is equal. We use this property to solve several common problems. For more details, see the video.
