Use A = pi(r^2)

The diameter is 16 inches which means that the radius must be 6 inches.

radius = diameter divided by 2.

We now plug and chug and leave our answer in terms of pi. This means we do NOT use 3.14 for pi.

A = pi(6)^2

A = 36pi

Done!
