You can put this solution on YOUR website!

the area of the circle can be found by the formula A+=r%5E2+%28pi%29
given:
radius r=6+cm
what you are looking for is only the portion which covers the central angle of 120 degrees
An entire circle is 360 degrees, so the area that you want is 120%2F360=1%2F3 of the entire circle

so, it is A=%281%2F3%29r%5E2%28pi%29
A=%281%2F3%29%286cm%29%5E2%283.14%29
A=%281%2F3%2936cm%5E2%283.14%29
A=%281%2Fcross%283%29%29cross%2836%2912cm%5E2%283.14%29
A=+12cm%5E2%283.14%29
A=+37.68cm%5E2
