Question 1021124: find the area of the circular segment to the nearest whole number of a circle of radius 2cm that subtends a central angle of 35 degrees Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hi there,
Formula = Angle/360 = Area of segment/Pi x r^2
35/360 = Area of segment/Pi x 2^2
Cross multiply
Area of segment = (35 x Pi x 2^2)/360
Area of segment = 1 cm^2
Hope this helps :-)
