Question 752584: I'm trying to figure cuts for landscaping tiles to be applied just to the border of the circular space.
The diameter of my circle is 10', the tiles are 13" square. What cuts do I need to make to each tile so that they will fit into a circular pattern - one row wide without overlapping or leaving gaps? Answer by rothauserc(4718) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The diameter of my circle is 10', the tiles are 13" square. What cuts do I need to make to each tile so that they will fit into a circular pattern - one row wide without overlapping or leaving gaps?
10' = 120"
Circumference(C) = pi*diameter
C = (22/7) * 120 = 377"
note that 377/13 = 29
you need 29 of your 13" tiles which means no cuts are necessary
