Question 501814: I need help solving the following... I have to simplify and then solve using the quadratic formula but I am getting stuck something is not right.. I have started to simplify but end up canceling out the 3x but don't I need that??? Grrrr Help please!!!
x(x+3)-2=3x+7

(x-3)*(x+3) = 0
x = -3, 3
