SOLUTION: Now I'm really stuck. Solving this quadratic equation by factoring so here's my problem: 27^2-3x-2=0 I did this: 27 x -2= -54 so I get -9+6 so I plug these back in: 27^2-9x+6x

Question 971154: Now I'm really stuck. Solving this quadratic equation by factoring so here's my problem:
27^2-3x-2=0
I did this: 27 x -2= -54 so I get -9+6
so I plug these back in: 27^2-9x+6x-2=0 now i'm stuck.
27^2-9x/-9x = -9x(-3x+1) 6x-2/-2= -2(-3x+1)
so now I get (-3x+1)(-9-2) here is where I think i need help
-3x+1/-3= x=-1/3 -9x-2/-9=x+2/9
So do I do this: x-1/3=0 x+2/9=0
+1/3 +1/3 -2/9 -2/9
x=1/3 x=-2/9
Am I right?
