Same as before; just solve for x and pick the choices which are the solutions. IF THE 2 IS NOT BEING USED AS A FACTOR, THEN INDICATE IN THE NOTATION THAT IT IS AN EXPONENT! (x-5)^2=7.

C and E are the correct choices. That is not important. Knowing how to find that they are the correct choices is important.
