You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Quadratic function in standard form whose graph passes though the given points.
(1,-2) (-2,1) (3,6)
I know it plugs into the equation ax^2+bx+c = y
------
Equations:
Using (1,-2):: a + b + c = -2
Using (-2,1)::4a -2b + c = 1
Using (3,6):::9a +3b + c = 6
--------------------------------------
Solve the system of equations:
I used my calculator to get:
a = 1
b = 01
c = -3
-------
Equation:
y = x^2 -3
-----------------------
