You can put this solution on YOUR website!
IF the area of a rectangular backyard is given in an equation 2x%5E2-13x-24+m%5E2
Factoring will give us,
%282x%2B3%29%28x-8%29=+0
Using foil method will give us,
2x%5E2-13x-24+m%5E2
The area for rectangle is A=lw
So if the area is,
2x%5E2-13x-24+=+%282x%2B3%29%28x-8%29=+0
So the lengths and width are either, 2x+3 and x-8
Obviously, length is greater than the width.
Therefore the length is,
2x+3 and the width is x-8
HOPE that helps! :)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x^2-13xm-24m^2
----
Use reverse FOIL to get:
2x^2 +3xm-16xm - 24m^2
-----
Factor the 1st two and the last two terms to get:
x(2x+3m) -8m(2x+3m)
-----
Factor again to get:
(2x + 3m)(x - 8m)
