First, establish a boundary line by using an equal sign:
y=1 (see the graph:

In this case, the boundary line will be a solid line because the inequality is "greater than or equal to" "1". If the inequality had been just "greater than", the boundary line would have been a dashed line instead.

Now, shade every thing above or greater than the line (which is everything >= 1) since "y" is every point greater than or equal to the line (see the graph below):
