First we need one side to be zero. Subtracting the entire right side from both sides we get:
3x%5E2%2B5x-2=0
Now we factor (or use the Quadratic Formula). This factors without too much difficulty:
(3x-1)(x+2) = 0
From the Zero Product Property:
3x-1 = 0 or x+2 = 0
Solving these we get:
x = 1/3 or x = -2
