Question 664409: What are the solutions of the quadratic equation?
2x^2 – 16x + 32
What I have so far is:
2x^2 -16 +32
ac
2(32)
64
2x^2 -16 +32
2x^2 -8x -8x +32
x(2x-8) +4(-2x+8)
(x?)(2x?)
Can you help me figure out the last part, and show me how you got that? Also if I did something wrong along the way can you show me how to fix that?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
From the step where you erred...
2x^2 - 8x - 8x + 32
x(2x-8) - 4(2x-8) ** distribute the -4 to get -8x+32
Now you have (2x-8) in common
(x-4) (2x-8)
