multiply by 12 (LCM) to clear the denominators
12*%28%28x%2B2%29%29%2F3 + 12*%28%28x-1%29%29%2F4 = 12*3%2F2
Cancel out the denominators
4(x+2) + 3(x-1) = 6(3)
:
4x + 8 + 3x - 3 = 18
7x + 5 = 18
7x = 18 - 5
7x = 13
x = 13%2F7
