You can put this solution on YOUR website!
From x%5E2%2B12x%2B36 we can see that a=1, b=12, and c=36

D=b%5E2-4ac Start with the discriminant formula.

D=%2812%29%5E2-4%281%29%2836%29 Plug in a=1, b=12, and c=36

D=144-4%281%29%2836%29 Square 12 to get 144

D=144-144 Multiply 4%281%29%2836%29 to get %284%29%2836%29=144

D=0 Subtract 144 from 144 to get 0

So the discriminant is D=0

Since the discriminant is equal to zero, this means that there is one real solution.
