You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Please help me find values of c so that the equation has 2 real number solution, one-real solution, and no real solution.
x%5E2+-+12x+%2B+c+=+0.
-------------------
Look at the discriminant, as follows:
(-12)^2-4(1)(c)=144-4c
----------
For 2 real solutions: 144-4c>0; c<36
-----------
For one real solution: 144-4c=0; c=36
--------------
For no real solutions: 144-4c<0; c>36
------------
