12x^2 - 11x =5    ||  Set to zero and follow the same quadratic formula format from there

12x^2 - 11x -5 = 0

x+=+%28-b+%2B-+sqrt%28+b%5E2-4%2Aa%2Ac+%29%29%2F%282%2Aa%29+ 

x+=+%2811+%2B-+sqrt%28+121-4%2A12%2A%28-5%29+%29%29%2F24+

x+=+%2811+%2B-+sqrt%28361%29%29%2F24+

 x+=+%2811+%2B-+19%29%2F24+ 

   x = 30/24 = 5/4  or  x = -8/24 = -1/3
