5x%28x%5E2%2B4x%2B3%29=0 Factor the parenthesis
5x%28x%2B3%29%28x%2B1%29=0 Set each part = to 0 and solve for x
5x=0 and x+3=0 and x+1=0
5x/5=0/5 and x+3-3=0-3 and x+1-1=0-1
x=0 and x=-3 and x=-1
