First thing we want to do is get this into standard format:
m^2 + m -62 = -6 Add 6 to both sides:
m^2 + m -56 = 0
(m - )(m + ) = 0
We're looking for two factors of 56 that are only different by one.
7 x 8 = 56
(m + 8)(m - 7) = 0 FOIL: m^2 - 7m + 8m -56 = m^2 + m - 56 Yay!

(m + 8) = 0
m = -8
(m - 7) = 0
m = 7

Checking:
(-8)^2 + (-8) - 62 = -6
64 - 8 - 62 = -6
56-62 = -6
-6 = -6 Correct!
