how do you get it to resemble the formula
ax^2 + bx + c
do you bring the 8x^2 to the left side and make it positive as well as te 2x?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Simply reorder the terms from:
3 - 2x - 8x^2
-8x^2 + 3 - 2x
-8x^2 -2x + 3 (this is in ax^2+bx+c form)
Now, you see that:
a is -8
b is -2
c is 3
